• Openwave System (OPWV): shares of Redwood City, CA based cell phone browser maker surged 17.04% as the firm reported record earning Thursday afternoon. 9.9 million shares, about 5 time of average volumn, pushed the stock to new 52 week high of $21.7 per share.

Stocks Drop on Heavy:

• Take-Two Interactive Software(TTWO): shares of New York based video game maker dropped 13.74% on downgrade from Banc of America on concern over late release of game. The stock ends the session with new 52 week low of $14.69 per share with 21 million shares, about 10 times of average volumn
• SanDisk Corp. (SNDK): price reduction due to maintain high demand fueled the sell off of shares of Sunnyvale, CA based memory card maker. The stock ended down 10.33% or $7.3 to $63.38 per share with heavy than normal volumn of 35 million.
