Stock Rise on Heavy Volumn:
- Visteon, Corp. (VC): the Van Buren Township, Michigan based auto part maker soared 28.11% to $8.75 per share on bullish comment from analyst citing low share price and possible take-over. The stock may expect some profit taking as ROC is at overbought level. Howevwer this should be the beginning of new rally as the stock has broke the recent resistence at $8. The stock was the biggest winner on NYSE today with 14 million shares traded.
- OfficeMax Inc.(OMX): share of major office supplies retailer surged 12.97% to 52 weeks high of $44.42 per share after the company posted strong second quarter and also expected better operating income for the year. This is a great time to keep buying the stock as K line is about to cross on top over D line indicating buy signal. The stock is the sixth leading gainer on NYSE today with 5.5 million shares traded.
Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:
- Eclipsys Corp. (ECLP): shares of Boca Raton, Florida based healthcare information technology company plunged 24.87% to new 52 weeks low of $14.74 per share on reduced outlook due to fewer license sales despite posting profit for the second quarter. The stock has broke the recent support and is now at new support around $15 per share. If the stock cannot hold this base it will test the next support around $13. The stock was the third leading decliner on Nasdaq today with 10.8 million shares exchanged hands.
- DRS Technologies Inc.(DRS): shares of Parsippany, NJ based defense electronics maker tumbled 16.97% to new 52 weeks low of $38.86 per share after the company cut its full-year earnings outlook despite posting strong first quarter profit. The stock should be expected to rebound as ROC is now showing the stock is being oversold. The stock was the second biggest loser on NYSE today with 6 million shares exchanged hands.
