- Kronos, Inc.(KRON): shares of employee management software provider surged 14% to new 52 weeks high of $53.11 per share after Hellman & Friedman LLC is taking Kronos private for $1.74 billion or $55 per share. The stock was the nineth leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 6.78 million share traded.
Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:
- Vonage Holdings Corporation (VG): shares of New Jersey based voice over IP based telephone service provider plunged 25.93% to $3 per share on injunction against the copmany for using Verizon's patents. The stock end up being the biggest loser on NYSE today on heavy volumn of 9.88 million shares.
- Jabil Circuit Inc. (JBL): shares of St Petersburg, Florida based electronic manufacturing services provider tumbled 10.71% to $22.26 on downgrade after the company warned weakness in earnings for third and fourth quarter. The stock was the third leading decliner on NYSE today with 17.18 million shares traded.
