Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:
- Pozen, Inc. (POZN): things can't get any worse for the Chapel Hill, North Carolina based drug maker for chronic pain as the stock plunged more than half of it's value or 60.88% to new 52 weeks low of $5.52 per share after FDA said it would not approve the colmpany's migraine treatment drug, which the drug company developed with GlaxoSmithKline. The dissappointing news scared away investors as the stock became the worst performer and twelveth heaviest traded on Nasdaq today with 25 million shares exchanged hands.
- Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO): the New York based interactive game maker was among the worst stocks of the day again on disappointing second quarter loss of $50.4 million or 71 cents per share, far off the analyst estimate of 11 cents per share. Shares tumbled 17.53% or $2.94 to near 52 weeks low of $13.83 per share, the fourth leading decliner on Nasdaq today with 13.4 million shares traded.
