Stocks Rise on Heavy Volumn:
  • Crystallex International Corp. (KRY): shares of Toronto, Canada based gold mining company jumped 28.85% to $3.93 per share as Jim Cramer is bullish on the stock. The stock was the second leading gainer on AMEX today with 30.7 million shares traded.
  • Dendreon Corp.(DNDN): shares of Seattle, WA based biotechnology company gained 13% to $5.22 per share as the company is seeking its cancer drug approval. The stock was the eighth leading gainer and eighth heaviest traded on Nasdaq today with 33.37 million shares traded.

Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:

  • AngioDynamics Inc. (ANGO): shares of Queensbury, NY based vascular disease diagnostics devices maker plunged 20.71% to $17.92 per share on patent infringement with Diomed Holdings. The stock was the leading decliner on Nasdaq today with 5.3 million shares traded.
  • Beazer Homes USA Inc. (BZH): shares of Atlanta, GA based residential home builder tumbled 8.4% to $28.77 per share on FBI investigation for possible fraud. The stock was the biggest loser on NYSE today with 19.6 million shares exchanged hands.
