- US Airways Group Inc. (LCC): shares of Tempe, Arizona based airline company surged 16.83% to $59.46 per share after the company made a hostile bid to Delta Air Lines for $8 billion. The stock was the third leading gainer on NYSE today with 13.72 million shares traded.
