Stocks Rise on Heavy Volumn:
  • OraLabs Holding Corp. (OLAB): shares of Parker, CO based oral care products maker soared for the second consecutive session for 37.39% or $2.15 to new 52 weeks high of $7.9 per share as the company entered into a definitive Stock Exchange Agreement with Partner Success Holdings last Thursday. Last Friday the stock jumped almost 200% from $1.99 per share on Thursday to $5.75 the next day. The stock is the leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 10.3 million shares traded, about 34 times average volumn.
  • Capstone Turbine Corp.(CPST): shares of Chatsworth, CA based microturbine generator maker surged 13% or 49 cents to $4.26 per share. The stock is the nineth leading advancer on Nasdaq today with 14.8 million shares traded, about four times average volumn.

Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:

  • Corautus Genetics Inc. (VEGF): the biggest loser on Nasdaq today is the Atlanta, GA based gene therapy company Corautus Genetics which saw its shares plunged 68.53% or $2.33 to new 52 weeks low of $1.07 per share after the company halted its clinical trial for the angina treatment product. The stock was traded at record volumn of 7.2 million shares, about 144 times average volumn
  • Novavax Inc. (NVAX): shares of Malvern, PA based avian flu vaccine maker tumbled for the third consecutive session for 13.47% or 80 cents to $5.14 per share on analysts downgrade as the stock's surge from $2 to $6 overhyped and lacks fundamental. The analyst still maintained a price target of $3 on the stock, still $2 below current price. Almost three times average volumn of 16.4 million shares have exchanged hands today.
