- Russell Corp.(RML): shares of Atlanta, GA based athletic and sporting goods company soared 37.89% or $5.04 to $18.34 per share today on take-over deal from Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway for $600 million. The stock is the leading gainer on NYSE today with 5.3 million shares traded, almost 15 times average volumn.
Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:
- Emmis Communications Corp. (EMMS): shares of Indianapolis, Indiana radio and tv broadcasting company declined 11.47% or $1.72 to new 52 weeks low of $13.28 per share as the revenue for the fourth quarter missed the analyst estimate by about $2 million. The stock was the third leading decliner on Nasdaq today with 5.2 million shares traded, more than 7 times average volumn.
