• Halozyme Therapeutics Inc. (HTI): shares of San Diego, CA based biopharmaceutical company skyrocketted 59.64% to new 52 weeks high of $4.55 per share after the company signed deal with Roche worth $581 million. The stock was the best performer of the stock market today with 6.83 million shares traded.

Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:

• Insmed Inc. (INSM): shares of Glen Allen, VA based drug maker for metabolic diseases plunged 17.61% to $1.31 per share and lost another 8.4% to $1.2 per share in after hour after the company lost battle in the court to Tercica and Genentech over a patent infringement case. The stock was the worst stock on Nasdaq today with 8.46 million shares traded.
