Stocks Rise on Heavy Volumn:

• Yahoo Inc (YHOO): shares of internet giant plunged 11.78% to $28.31 per share as quarterly profit tumbled 11% due to higher operating costs. With heavy volumn of 128 millions shares, highest on the stock market today the stock was ranked the fifth leading decliner on Nasdaq.
• Career Education Corp. (CECO): shares of postsecondary education provider in US, Canada and somme countries in Europe soared 21.3% to $35.53 per share. Although the first quarter sales and profit missed analysts estimates, analyst today upgrade the stock as total student population trends are improving. The stock was the fourth leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 10.2 million shares traded.
• CROCS Inc. (CROX): shares of footwear manufacturer jumped 19.93% to $68.85 per share after the company raised its 2007 earnings guidance after first quarter profit which went quadrupled. The stock was the sixth leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 12 million shares traded.
• On2 Technologies Inc. (ONT): shares of On2 Technology, a Clifton Park, NY based video codec software maker rose 12.32% to $2.37 per share after the first quarter loss reduced to $721,000 from $1.18 million a year ago. The stock was the third leading gainer on AMEX today with 5.1 million shares traded.
