(ACOR): shares of Hawthorne, New York based biopharmaceutical company skyrocketted 282.88% to new 52 weeks high $8.5 per share on positive late-stage clinical trial of its multiple sclerosis drug. The stock is the biggest gainer and the fourteenth heaviest traded on Nasdaq today with 23.7 million shares traded.
- Warrior Energy Service Corp.(WARR): shares of Columbus, Mississippi based natural gas and oil well services company soared 68.9% to $24.22 per share as the company is bought by Superior Energy for $358 million or $26.33 per share. The stock was the second leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 5.14 million shares traded.
Stock Drop on Heavy Volumn:
- Microsemi Crop. (MSCC): shares of Irvine, CA based semiconductor company tumbled 13.97% to new 52 weeks low of $19.59 per share on analyst downgrade due to lowered fourth quarter outlook. Now that ROC is showing the stock is oversold, the stock will bounce back soon as KD is also at the low. The stock was the second leading decliner on Nasdaq today with 7.79 millon shares traded.
- Revlon Inc. (REV): shares of New York, NY based cosmetics product maker dropped 12.1% to $1.09 per share on job cut and canceling of new cosmetics line. With K line now below D line the stock may continue to go down. The stock was the fourth biggest loser on NYSE today with 7.02 million shares exchanged hands.
