The stock was the second leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 6.37 million shares exchanged hands.
- Seattle Genetics Inc. (SGEN): shares of bothell, WA based biotechnology company surged 24.01% to $6.56 per share on licensing agreement with Genentech. The stock was the third leading gainer on Nasdaq with 5.29 million shares traded.
Stock Drop on Heavy Volumn:
- Dynavax Technologies Corp. (DVAX): shares of the Berkeley, CA based allergy drug maker plunged 30.21% to $5.96 per share on negative result of the one-year data from tis two-year ragweed allergy trial. The stock was the second leading decliner on Nasdaq today with 7.4 million shares traded.
- Doral Financial Corp.(DRL): shares of San Juan, Puerto Rico based financial service company sank to multi-year low of $2.06 per share after S&P cuts rating to B from B+ after a $28.7 million third quarter loss. The stock was the fourth leading decliner on NSYE today with 5.95 million shares traded.
