- Intuitive Surgical Inc. (ISRG): shares of robotic surgical equipment maker jumped 32.32% to new 52 weeks high of $198.59 per share due to 84% jump in second quarter net income. The stock was the fourth leading gainer on Nasdaq with 8.9 million shares traded.
- American Home Mortgage Investment Corp. (AHM): after losing 20% in previous trading session due to the mortgage lenders credit concern shares of American Home Mortgage regained most of the loss with 19% gain to $12.8 per share as analyst noted the sell-off was overdone. The stock was trading about $14 per share on Tuesday of July 17. The stock was the leading gainer NYSE today with 7.87 million shares traded.
