Stocks Rise on Heavy Volumn:
  • China Development Group (CTDC): shares of the Hong Kong based network security software maker soared 23.17% to $5.9 per share. The stock is now back to new rally as stock is back above 50 day and 200 day moving average and K line is on top over D line. In addition MACD is also above 0 showing bull market. The stock was the third leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 4 million shares traded.
  • Shaw Group Inc. (SGR): shares of Baton Rouge, Louisiana based energy and construction service provider for energy and construction industries surged 11.28% to $26.33 per share after the company pay $1.08 billion for 20% stake in the group acquiring Westinghour Electric Co. The stock is has been on uptrend and is now back to rally as K line is back above D line. The stock was the sixth leading gainer on NYSE today with 5 million shares traded.

Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:

  • TiVo Inc.(TIVO): shares of Alviso, CA based digital video recorders(DVRs) maker tumbled 11.3% to $6.67 per share on Bear Stern downgrades due to cour ruling. The stock has chance to bounce back as ROC is showing the stock is oversold and stock is back to 200 day moving average. The stock was the eighth leading decliner on Nasdaq with 10.5 million shares traded.
  • Doral Financial Corp.(DRL): shares of San Juan, Puerto Rico based financial service company dropped 10.4% to $5.77 per share on analyst downgrade due to weak loan production. The stock is back to weak market as K line is now below D line. The stock is the biggest loser on NYSE today with 5.69 million shares traded.
