Stocks Rise on Heavy Volumn:
  • Dynavax Technologies Corp. (DVAX): shares of the Berkeley, CA based allergy drug maker skyrocketted 55.24% to $7.7 per share on positive study on its Tolamba aleergy treatment. The stock is in bull market as 50 day moving average is on top over 200 day moving average and MACD is on top of 0. The stock was the biggest winner and the sixteenth heaviest traded on Nasdaq today with 23 million shares traded.
  • Mamma.com Inc. (MAMA): shares of Montreal, Canada based web search technology company soared 42.65% to $1.94 per share on no news. The stock is now back to bull market with MACd back above 0 and the stock back above 50 day and 200 day moving average. The stock was the third leading gainer on Nasdaq today with 7.35 million shares exchanged hands.

Stocks Drop on Heavy Volumn:

  • Ikanos Communications (IKAN): shares of Fremont, CA based semiconductor maker plunged 29.07% to $7.76 per share after the company issued sales warning for the third and fourth quarter. The stock is in weak market as MACD is back be low 0 and the stock is below 50 day and 200 day moving average. Now with K line about to cross on top over D line rally may come soon. The stock was the biggest loser on Nasdaq today with 9.6 million shares traded.
  • Dillard's Inc.(DDS): shares of Little Rock, Arkansas based department stores operator tumbled 7.37% to $31.15 per share on disappointing sales results in Septebmer. Since the stock is still in bull market for the long term so the stock should bounce back up as ROC is now showing the stock is oversold. The stock is the fourth leading decliner on NYSE today with 6.02 million shares traded.
